So I drew it out (there has got to be an easier way that does not involve me spending money on quilting software- or should I?)
I'm still working out how I'm going to do this. It's going to be biggish... like 50cm or so.
Am, I crazy? Can this be done? Am I biting off more than I can chew? Hints, comments, advice...all would be welcome at this point!
Linking up for help.
OMG!! I have absolutely no advice on how best to do this, but. it. must. be. done.!!!! This is going to be amazing!
ReplyDeleteAnd if you ever need a helper to test, pick me! pick me!!
That is a very cool idea!! It will be awesome!
ReplyDeleteThere is free software called Quilt Assistant that's just for foundation pieced designs. It's a bit of a learning curve though (and I prefer EQ7 but.. QA is free :) ).
Since the death star is just gray/white, have you considered doing a simple shape then adding all the details using FMQ? I have used quilt assistant, and can't compare to EQ7, but I wonder if you'll really get the effect you want for the amount of work involved in FPP.
